The Development

We were asked to convert an existing building in the city centre of Coventry which was an old 125 bedroom Travelodge hotel into student accommodation.

Our works comprised of upgrading all services to the rooms to accommodate new kitchen pods with sinks, cooker, hob and wall units. To redecorate, upgrade the internet system and make sure power supplies were upgraded sufficiently to accommodate the further 40amp loads to each room.

We supplied and fitted new work stations to each room, with a wardrobe, bed and card key access system.

We made ready to an area to accommodate new washing and drying areas for the students and a sixty specialised bike rack storage area. We upgraded and made good to the reception areas to make them more modern, and made ready a study area with hard wired internet cat 5 connections. We also provided an area to accommodate pool tables and air hockey, all within the common areas with new furniture.

Finished under time, within budget and with all additional works. Student occupation will be August'14

Phase 2: Utilising more of the already existing mothballed areas on site at the travel lodge to maximise the amount of habitable space thus creating more revenue.
