The new building's location surrounded on 3 sides by the imposing estate meant deciding whether to make a highly contrasting design or one that blended in with the existing.
The latter was chosen, with the bright, modern interiors offering a sharp contrast to the conservative exterior. The building is named after the demolished pub it replaces.
